The GnuPG file encryption speed was slightly faster with the Intel solid-state disk.
When using Bork file encryption, which is a Java based test, the file encryption time was dramatically faster on the Intel X25-E Extreme SSD compared to the Seagate 7200.2 SATA HDD. This difference certainly was not as noticeable with GnuPG encryption.
