Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Can Work Well As A Solid Linux Laptop
First up is a look at the integrated graphics performance across the tested laptops. With the Xonotic open-source game the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 performance was slightly ahead of the Core Ultra 7 256V within the ASUS Zenbook S14. The Meteor Lake powered Acer Swift Go 14 with Core Ultra 7 155H was still performing noticeably better than the Lunar Lake graphics in this game. The AMD RDNA3/RDNA3.5 graphics also were performing significantly faster than the current Intel graphics.
The AMD Ryzen laptops with RDNA3/RDNA3.5 graphics were also delivering better performance-per-Watt than Intel Meteor Lake and Lunar Lake.
With the Unvanquished open-source game as well, the Lunar Lake performance was behind the newer AMD Ryzen RDNA3/RDNA3.5 graphics but at least with comparable power efficiency.
With the demanding Unigine Superposition benchmark, the Core Ultra 7 258V with the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 on Ubuntu 25.04 was comparable to the ASUS Zenbook S14 Lunar Lake and the AMD RDNA3/3.5 graphics.
