A majority of the Linux desktop respondents are using a graphical utility when configuring their monitors, which could either be one of the RandR-based utilities with the GNOME or KDE desktops or through the solutions offered by AMD and NVIDIA with their proprietary drivers. Nearly 30% of users though are still resorting to modifying the xorg.conf file by hand.

65% of the respondents only have a single display attached to their computer.

Resolutions between 1280 x 1024 and 2560 x 1600 are most popular with not many users running anything less than 1280 x 1024 in 2010.
