Obviously with the Java benchmarks, there is only slight differences in the performance between operating systems. The Java SciMark2 performance on Linux was slightly faster than the tested BSDs.
Or in the Java Bork file encryption test where I/O performance comes into play, the Linux distributions all came in much faster than the tested BSDs.
In the new Java Gradle Build test submitted by a Phoronix reader, the BSDs remained slower with their Java over Linux.
Clear Linux and Ubuntu were much faster than the BSDs with the LuaJIT benchmarking.
Clear Linux pulled ahead with the GraphicsMagick imaging benchmarks.
