Xonotic with ultra and ultimate image quality settings led the RadeonSI-based AMD hardware (HD 7000 series and newer) to fail due to LLVM register allocation errors with the user-space driver that's shipped by xorg-edgers in Ubuntu 14.04.
We can only hope that soon the Nouveau developers will have working re-clocking support in a reliable and out-of-the-box manner to dramatically improve the open-source NVIDIA experience.
