Intel P-State vs. CPUFreq Frequency Scaling Performance On The Linux 5.0 Kernel
With modern kernels, you really can't go wrong with the P-State driver on modern Intel CPUs with either the performance or powersave governors. P-State works very well on any even semi-recent kernel release and doesn't leave much value in sticking to the generic CPUFreq driver.
