From the many Phoronix benchmarks that were run, overall the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 had an average core temperature of 71°C while the Radeon HD 7950 average was at about 65°C.

The system power consumption when using the GTX 680 was about 11% higher than the stock Radeon HD 7950.
