Intel Core Ultra 7 "Lunar Lake" Performance Up By ~22% With ASUS Linux Fix

The Core Ultra 7 256V is enjoying better AI performance on the CPU with this patched kernel run, but still not close to the AMD Ryzen AI 300 series performance with its higher core/thread count and enjoying AVX-512.

Those wanting to go through even more of the 400+ benchmarks run in total can see this result file for all the raw data in full. Long story short, this pending Linux kernel patch does vastly improve the performance potential of Lunar Lake laptops on Linux. It's too bad though that this wasn't addressed by ASUS or Intel well ahead of launch and seemingly only discovered after I bought the ASUS Zenbook S 14 and began Linux testing. In any event, stay tuned for more Lunar Lake Linux testing on Phoronix as I run more benchmarks as further kernel/driver optimizations arrive and any other changes.
