While the Nouveau and Radeon drivers are moving in a positive direction to deliver better open-source OpenGL performance on Linux, it looks like Mesa 8.1-devel is slightly slower than Mesa 8.0.4 for most OpenGL workloads.
The OpenArena performance drops by nearly 10%.
