These results don't come as much of a surprise, unfortunately.

Well, that's the latest open-source Git state of the Radeon and Nouveau Linux graphics drivers. See last week's article for those wanting to see specifically how Nouveau currently compares to the proprietary NVIDIA driver with its great Linux support. Unfortunately not much more to add and given Nouveau is developed by the community there is no good ETA for when the performance and support could improve unless NVIDIA begins committing more resources to this open-source driver effort.
