The NVIDIA binary blob resulted in only slightly more CPU usage than the open-source driver when running World of Padman, but the CPU power consumption was higher. There was no change out of the libdrm re-write with these system metrics under Ubuntu Linux.
It was the same story for Reaction Quake 3...
