Boom! After the first few rounds of games launching and closing, we now see the actually quite sizable impact the resource leak had on silently driving down frame-rates. That's around a 20% performance boost for DiRT Rally on the GTX 1080 as well as the GTX 1060. Obviously this performance slowdown would come up if playing games frequently or even just playing games occasionally but seldom rebooting your system.
