At least the open-source AMD stack does a bit better with Unigine Valley than Heaven, but still there is much more performance needed out of the AMD side.
Even with low image quality settings, the NVIDIA tests on Ubuntu 16.04 clear the board over what's offered by AMD on this upcoming Ubuntu LTS release.
The open-source RadeonSI Gallium3D stack becomes a bit more competitive as the visual intensity for Xonotic is increased, but overall still a sad outcome for the red side.
With ultimate image quality settings for Xonotic is the best we've seen for all the tests run out of the open-source AMD performance relative to the NVIDIA proprietary driver.
