When taking the geometric mean of all the benchmarks that ran successfully across all of the tested workstation graphics cards, here is the outcome. The NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation was delivering 54% higher performance compared to the Radeon PRO W7900. The RTX 6000 Ada Generation performance was 2.47x that of the RTX 4000 Ada Generation graphics card. See all the benchmark results in full via this result file.

Making the strong performance advantage for the RTX 6000 Ada Generation all the more impressive was that on average its GPU power use was similar to the Radeon PRO W7900. The RTX 6000 Ada Generation had a 191 Watt average to the W7900 with an 189 Watt average. The RTX 6000 Ada Generation did consume up to 303 Watts at peak compared to the W7900 having a 249 Watt peak. The minimum power draw with the RTX 6000 Ada Generation was also slightly higher than the W7900 idle power.

For those curious about thermals, the NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation with its blower fan had an average temperature under load of 73 degrees and a recorded peak of 87 degrees.

👁 NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation graphics card

The NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation graphics card was performing very well on the mature NVIDIA Linux driver stack now defaulting to their open-source kernel modules in place of the prior proprietary kernel driver default. This comparison on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS shows the RTX 6000 Ada Generation delivering incredible performance and typically far outpacing the AMD Radeon PRO W7900 series workstation graphics card competition. The NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation is a very impressive workstation graphics card but will set you back $6~7k USD.
