NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Linux Gaming/Graphics Performance

For Counter-Strike 2 running natively on Linux at 4K, the GeForce RTX 5070 performance was between that of the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT. The GeForce RTX 5070 here was around 8% faster than the RTX 4070 SUPER or 22.5% faster than the GeForce RTX 4070. If still on a GeForce RTX 3070 there is around 45% better performance on Linux for CS2 by going with the RTX 5070.

On a performance-per-Watt basis for Counter-Strike 2 the GeForce RTX 5070 and other Blackwell graphics cards were ahead of the AMD RDNA3 and RDNA4 competition. There were some nice improvements too compared to the RTX 4070 / RTX 3070 too.

When running GTA 5 under Steam Play and maxing out the settings, the GeForce RTX 5070 was performing ahead of the AMD Radeon competition and even coming out faster than the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER model.

Meanwhile with HITMAN, the RTX 5070 was less appealing here compared to the RTX 4070 SUPER and falling behind the AMD Radeon competition (the RADV Vulkan driver does rather well here) but at least around 13% faster than the RTX 4070 base model.
