With Unigine Sanctuary the frame-rates were closer between Ubuntu and Windows, but still the Linux distribution was delivering the top numbers with the newer GPUs.
When running Unigine Tropics, the GeForce GTX 780 Ti was still running about 20% faster on Ubuntu 14.04 than Windows 8.1 Pro x64 on the same hardware.
Xonotic was the first game we encountered in this fresh round of NVIDIA driver testing where Windows 8.1 was running significantly faster than Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
