Trying Out openSUSE Leap 15.0 Beta, Comparison Linux Benchmarks
Lastly are a few OpenGL benchmarks for those interested in the out-of-the-box graphics support on the Linux desktop...
There are some performance improvements for Radeon graphics on Leap 15.0 Beta due to the newer kernel DRM and Mesa components. Overall these results for the Radeon R9 Fury were competitive with the Tumbleweed and Ubuntu 18.04 results. There aren't Clear Linux results for these Radeon OpenGL tests since their Mesa build does not enable the Radeon components.
That's the initial standing of openSUSE Leap 15.0 Beta performance-wise. Understandably there are performance improvements to find with this release derived from the SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 code-base, especially if you are running on newer hardware. More openSUSE Leap 15.0 benchmarks will be coming as the stable release approaches later this year.
