PHP 7.4 Performance Benchmarks Show A Nice Improvement - But PHP 8.0-dev Is Running Even Faster

With the SVG graph render test (the same operations to present these graphs to you), the PHP 7.4 performance is largely the same as PHP 7.3.

With the information processing sub-test that relies on a lot of I/O and XML processing, there is a surprisingly big difference out of PHP 7.4 and PHP 8.0-dev.

With the merge results sub-test that is XML and other operations, the performance is on-par to PHP 7.3.

Overall, PHP 7.4 is looking quite good over PHP 7.3 with better performance on top of introducing the FFI capabilities, the preload feature, and other improvements. Look for PHP 7.4.0 shipping next week.
