While the GNU Compiler Collection didn't receive a big version bump (it typically doesn't until the Ubuntu xx.10 releases), in some workloads there are some minor wins here and there.
Then again, the Threadripper 3990X already delivers record-setting performance on 19.10.
Some of the timed compilation workloads are coming in slightly behind on 20.04.
