The PyPerformance results showed that Python 3.11 is a big upgrade over Python 3.10 and prior, but Pyston 2.3.3 and PyPy 3.9-v3.7.39 both consistently delivered even better performance. Hopefully upstream (C)Python will continue closing the gap against the alternative Python implementations like PyPy and Pyston.

When taking the geometric mean of all the Python benchmarks conducted, PyPy was about 4% faster than Pyston. These alternative Python implementations were around 40% faster than CPython 3.11.
