The Linux gaming performance is always a fun and interesting area given the sharp differences in drivers between Windows as well as the graphics API / renderer differences... Deus Ex: Mankind Divided remains tested as one of the most demanding Linux-native OpenGL games out there for those enjoying older GL-based titles. With the Radeon RX 6700 XT on the RadeonSI Gallium3D driver, the performance was up to the TITAN RTX / RTX 2080 Ti level and not too far behind the RTX 3080... Well ahead of the RTX 3060 Ti, thanks to RadeonSI's well-tuned OpenGL driver.

HITMAN is another interesting game to test that is OpenGL-based and was the last HITMAN game to enjoy a native Linux port by Feral Interactive. For this game too, the RDNA2 performance on the RadeonSI Gallium3D driver comes out strong with the RX 6700 XT running at 89% the speed of the RTX 3080.

In Dawn of War III as one of the original Vulkan-supported game ports to Linux, the Radeon RX 6700 XT matched that of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. The RX 6700 XT and RTX 3060 Ti are primarily aimed at 1440p gaming on Windows but when it comes to native Linux titles often being older, these cards were coping with 4K for many titles.

With F1 2017 as the latest in the F1 franchise that has enjoyed a native Linux port, the Radeon RX 6700 XT on the RADV Vulkan driver performs very well and is running ahead of the RTX 2080 Ti and a good 9% faster than the RTX 3060 Ti.
