Besides Intel traditionally having an advantage in the browser benchmarks only for Zen 4 to catch up, AMD's latest desktop CPUs have caught up to Intel in another traditionally strong area for the blue camp: Python and other scripting language benchmarks. The Python 3 performance of the Zen 4 line-up was coming in similar to the latest Intel CPUs.
But during this light Python benchmarking, the Alder Lake and Raptor Lake CPUs were maintaining lower power consumption than the Zen 4 parts.
With the entire Ryzen 7000 series line-up having AVX-512, the AMD performance is very strong in simdjson 2.0 for its speedy JSON parsing with AVX-512 acceleration.
