Ubuntu 25.04 vs. Windows 11 CPU Performance For The AMD Ryzen AI 7 PRO 360

Across 80 benchmarks run natively on Windows 11 Pro and Ubuntu 25.04, the new Ubuntu Linux release was the front-runner 85% of the time!

On a geo mean basis in these AMD Ryzen AI 7 PRO 360 Zen 5(C) CPU benchmarks, Ubuntu 25.04 was around 9% faster than Windows 11 Pro on average as shipped by Lenovo. Nice wins though nothing too unexpected compared to our prior Windows and Linux benchmarking bouts. Separately you can see all the Radeon 880M / RDNA 3.5 graphics comparison benchmarks.

👁 Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6

Besides the superior performance, the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 with AMD Ryzen AI 7 PRO 360 "Strix Point" was running very well on Ubuntu 25.04 with the Linux 6.14 kernel and Mesa 25.0 graphics drivers. Then again, it's not too surprising with Lenovo having officially certified Linux on the ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 and even offering it as a pre-load option for those wanting to escape Microsoft Windows 11.
