Across dozens of different creator workloads and other real-world software use-cases, Ubuntu 25.04 on this AMD Ryzen AI Max PRO 390 laptop (HP ZBook Ultra G1a) was typically seeing solidly better performance with Linux over Microsoft Windows 11. In some cases the results were competitive but more often than not there was better performance out of leveraging Ubuntu Linux on this AMD Strix Halo mobile workstation.
