With the Parboil benchmarks, Fedora, openSUSE, and Intel's Clear Linux distribution tend to be front-runners.
Scientific Linux 7.2 with its older kernel and compiler meanwhile tend to be slower than these bleeding-edge distributions. Again, for this OS comparison the compiler defaults were respected.
