👁 PyBench benchmark with settings of Total For Average Test Times. BHI Off was the fastest.

👁 Git benchmark with settings of Time To Complete Common Git Commands. Default was the fastest.

Of course, in some workloads there was minimal impact of the default Spectre BHI mitigation.

👁 OpenSCAD benchmark with settings of Render: Leonardo Phone Case Slim. BHI Off was the fastest.

👁 vkpeak benchmark with settings of int16-scalar. BHI Off was the fastest.

👁 GravityMark benchmark with settings of Resolution: 1920 x 1080, Renderer: Vulkan. BHI Off was the fastest.

The impact for graphics/gaming also wasn't too bad.

👁 Geometric Mean Of All Test Results benchmark with settings of Result Composite, Intel Core Ultra 7 155H Meteor Lake Spectre BHI. BHI Off was the fastest.

Booting the same software/hardware with spectre_bhi=off improved the Core Ultra 7 155H performance by around 5% in the benchmarks conducted. That helps in large part explain the negative outcome from the recent Intel Meteor Lake performance on Linux since launch day benchmarking.
