Of course, in some workloads there was minimal impact of the default Spectre BHI mitigation.

The impact for graphics/gaming also wasn't too bad.

Booting the same software/hardware with spectre_bhi=off improved the Core Ultra 7 155H performance by around 5% in the benchmarks conducted. That helps in large part explain the negative outcome from the recent Intel Meteor Lake performance on Linux since launch day benchmarking.
