Sun Studio 12 vs. GCC3 vs. GCC4 Benchmarks

Sun Studio finally struck a win when it came to measuring the time needed to compile PHP 5.2.5. It took Sun Studio 12 just 20 seconds to build PHP on this octal-core AMD "Shanghai" setup while GCC3/4 took 34 seconds.
The file encryption time for GnuPG was roughly the same across all the compilers that had built GnuPG. Encrypting the 2GB file took 49.18 seconds for GCC 3.4.3, 50.47 seconds for Sun Studio 12, and 53.63 seconds for GCC 4.0.2.
