For the Ryzen 5 5500U's Vega graphics already being mature for some time by the open-source Linux driver stack, there wasn't much to gain for this AMD APU with the newer Mesa drivers.
In other CPU/system workloads is where there tended to be modest improvements in the Ubuntu 22.04 LTS upgrade thanks to the newer GCC, Glibc, and other software upgrades.
