With 1440p at medium quality settings, the RX Vega 56 / GTX 1070 Ti became the cut-off for around a 60 FPS average gaming experience on Linux.
After upping Total War: Three Kingdoms to 1440p high quality settings, the Radeon VII and RTX 2070 were hitting just below the 60 FPS average.
Or for achieving 60 FPS at 2650 x 1440 for this Linux game port, the RTX 2080 Ti / TITAN RTX would be required.
