Building the Linux kernel on this eight core / sixteen thread system takes about two minutes.
While with the C-Ray heavily threaded ray-tracer, the Xeon Silver 4108 is back in the race.
It will be very interesting to see how the Xeon Silver 4108 stacks up against the other EPYC processors currently being tested.
