Gzip compression performance has largely been steady over the past eight years.
And not much change out of FFmpeg or OpenSSL.
The Core i7 4960X has been showing a nice evolution in Ubuntu LTS performance while the i5-2500K doesn't see much change (and actually a minor dip with 18.04) but we are back to a case showing a hard regression on the i7-990X after 12.04.
