Ubuntu 25.10 Delivering Some Nice Performance Gains For Intel Core Ultra "Lunar Lake"

Overall the Intel Lunar Lake performance measured on the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition laptop was showing some nice gains with Ubuntu 25.10 compared to the Ubuntu 25.04 performance.

On a geo mean basis the Ubuntu Linux 25.04 to 25.10 performance went up by 7%. Some of the most significant performance improvements on Ubuntu 25.10 were found with the Xe2 integrated graphics but also in some of the CPU workloads and elsewhere there were some nice incremental gains for Intel Lunar Lake on Ubuntu 25.10 thanks to the newer kernel, compiler, and other package upgrades.

Look for Ubuntu 25.10 making its official release on Thursday, 9 October. More Ubuntu 25.10 performance benchmarks to come on Phoronix from different hardware platforms.
