The CPU-bound benchmarks are largely uninteresting for this comparison due to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS sticking to GCC 4.6 for its lifetime and the Linux kernel upgrades not having a huge impact for the selection of processor tests used for this article. Additional test results from Ubuntu 12.04.2, 12.04.3, and 12.04.4 LTS can be found via this OpenBenchmarking.org result file.
