Our Samsung NC10 was still running with an Intel Atom N270, but its after-market configuration consisted of a 32GB OCZ Core Series V2 SSD and 2GB of DDR2 memory. Here are the Bootchart numbers for this nice netbook.

The boot time in Ubuntu 8.10 on the Samsung NC10 was 31 seconds with a maximum disk throughput while booting of 88 MB/s. In Ubuntu 9.04 the boot time decreased to just 13 seconds, or one second faster than the Dell Mini 9, while the disk throughput maxed out at 104MB/s. With Ubuntu 9.10, the Karmic Koala, the boot time for this hardware is currently at 15 seconds with a maximum disk throughout of 103MB/s. With this netbook, Ubuntu 9.10 is taking two seconds longer to boot.
