Ubuntu 9.04 vs. Mac OS X 10.5.6 Benchmarks

Ubuntu 9.04 was significantly faster than Mac OS X 10.5.6 when it came to OpenSSL signing using RSA 4096-bit. Mac OS X was just capable of seven signs per second while Ubuntu was three times faster with 21 signs per second.
Ubuntu 9.04 was faster as well with its Dhrystone 2 performance as measured through the BYTE Unix Benchmark.
OS X was slightly better than Ubuntu at integer arithmetic.
