The TSCP AI chess benchmark performed roughly the same between the last Ubuntu Long-Term Support release and where it is at now with Ubuntu 9.10.
There is not much to say with regard to the FFmpeg performance.
Next up we looked at the OpenMP-based GraphicsMagick performance. With the HWB Color Space operation, Ubuntu 9.10 offered the best performance.
