The PostMark performance was dramatically better with the Ubuntu Maverick daily snapshot likely due to EXT4 improvements made between the Linux 2.6.32 and 2.6.35 kernels.
FS-Mark confirms some file-system performance improvements with Ubuntu 10.10 too.
