The SciMark 2.0 Composite test was nearly 50% faster since this fall.
The Fast Fourier Transform performance as measured by SciMark 2.0 was also sizably better using Ubuntu 8.10 and 9.04.
With the Monte Carlo performance were also sizable improvements.
