The PostgreSQL performance also regressed significantly somewhere between Ubuntu 8.04 and 10.04 while with Ubuntu 10.10 it's experiencing another small drop right now.
The C-Ray ray-tracing performance wasn't really impacted by the three Ubuntu releases tested.
There also wasn't any major performance changes found with 7-Zip.
