From the same Ubuntu Linux stack both devices were put through the paces with various system/CPU performance benchmarks for those curious... Not that they are entirely relevant in the context of handheld gaming consoles. For the demanding JetStream 2 browser benchmark, the Ryzen Z1 Extreme out-of-the-box with the ASUS ROG Ally was 12% faster.
Meanwhile the Core Ultra 7 155H was consuming the most power of the tested configurations during this benchmark.
During Google Chrome browser benchmarks too the Ryzen Z1 Extreme was performing better and with better power efficiency.
In some benchmarks the ACPI performance platform profile of the Z1 Extreme was needed to match or exceed the Core Ultra 7 155H.
