VOOZH | about |
We build mobile apps for product teams, startups, and enterprises, from native iOS and Android to Flutter and React Native cross-platform, mobile backends, and enterprise mobile platforms with offline tolerance and deep system integration. With 13+ years of production engineering experience and ISO 9001 certified delivery, we serve mobile-first companies across 45+ countries at India rates with Western-grade discipline.
Whether you are launching a consumer app, scaling an existing app to multi-region, re-platforming a legacy mobile codebase, or building enterprise mobile for a deskless workforce, our mobile engineering team ships apps that move the metrics that matter: install conversion, daily active retention, and App Store rating.
Tell us about your roadmap. We reply same day.
Swift and SwiftUI. iOS deep platform integration when the app needs advanced camera work, background processing, ARKit, WidgetKit, or deep App Store entitlements. We build for current iOS plus one version back at minimum, and we hold the App Store review line at first submission ninety percent of the time.
Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Android with the breadth of OEM and form-factor coverage that mainstream apps now require. Material You design, Android Auto, Wear OS, foldables. We test on the real device matrix that your user base uses, not just the simulator.
React Native for apps where the team is React-fluent or business logic is shared with a web app. Flutter for brand-first apps that need a custom rendered UI and consistent visuals across platforms. We pick the right one for your scope rather than defaulting to the framework we know best.
REST and GraphQL backends sized for mobile traffic patterns. Pagination shapes that respect mobile data plans. Offline-cacheable response shapes. Real-time channels for chat and live updates via WebSockets or push. Authentication that survives bad networks.
Offline-first apps for field service, retail floor, warehouse, healthcare workers. Integrations with handheld scanners, BLE devices, vehicle telematics, and existing enterprise systems. Multi-tenant security, role-based access, audit trails.
Sixty-minute call. We learn your product, users, target devices, and constraints. We agree on the scope envelope and engagement model.
We propose engineers from our vetted bench. You interview and approve each one. The team plugs into your tools (GitHub, Linear, Slack, your QA stack).
Two-week sprints with TestFlight or internal-test track builds, written status, and code reviews you can audit.
App Store and Google Play submission, observability wiring, crash reporting, runbook handover. Post-launch the same team rolls into maintenance.
First-submission acceptance ninety percent of the time. We read the App Store Review Guidelines before the final build review, not after a rejection. Most rejections are procedural; we treat the guidelines as part of the build spec.
We pick native when the use case needs platform depth and cross-platform when it does not. Cross-platform is great for content and form-heavy apps and a poor fit for graphics-heavy or deep-platform-integration use cases. We will tell you which one fits your scope.
Crash reporting, analytics, and error tracking wired in before launch. Bolting them on after a production crash costs twice as much. Sentry, Firebase Crashlytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude are part of every project setup.
Documented engineering process. Clutch and GoodFirms verified reviews. India-rate billing with Western-grade engineering discipline. You get the cost arbitrage without the quality compromise.
Retail, fintech, healthcare, automotive, eLearning, marketplace, and creator economy. Real shipped apps with real downloads. Ask any vendor to show you the same.
Most mobile app projects fail in predictable ways. These are the five we see most often and how we design around them.
Most web APIs are not built for mobile traffic patterns. Page sizes assume desktop bandwidth. Response shapes assume always-on connectivity. Auth refresh assumes a stable session. We audit the backend during discovery and either rebuild the affected endpoints or add a mobile-optimised API layer.
Every mid-build feature add costs roughly one and a half to two times what it would have cost in the original scope. We lock scope at week zero with an explicit change-request process for anything new. Changes go through a one-page impact assessment before they hit the sprint.
Teams that skip a proper design system rebuild components multiple times across screens. The one to two weeks invested in a clean design system saves four to six weeks of rework. We always set up the design system in week one.
Cross-platform projects always need some native code. We budget at least ten percent of engineering time for native module work even on apparently cross-platform-friendly scopes. Underbudgeting this is the most common source of timeline slip.
Crash reporting, analytics, and error tracking must be wired in before launch. Bolting them on after a production crash costs roughly twice what it would have cost up front. We treat observability as part of the launch checklist, not the post-launch backlog.
| Model | Best for | How billed |
|---|---|---|
| Dedicated team (most common) | Multi-month roadmap with shifting priorities. You have product management capacity, we provide mobile engineering velocity. | Per engineer per month, $1,200 to $4,000 depending on seniority. Three-month minimum. |
| Fixed-scope project | Defined deliverable like a v1 app with a known feature set. | Lump sum with milestone payments. Best when scope is genuinely fixed. |
| Staff augmentation | Adding named mobile engineers to your existing team. | Per engineer per hour, $13 to $25 by seniority. |
| Time and materials | Discovery, prototypes, exploratory builds where the spec is still being defined. | Hourly with a monthly cap. |
| What you might compare | Where ScalaCode fits | When it might not |
|---|---|---|
| US-based mobile agency | India delivery costs, Western-grade engineering, ISO 9001. We beat the US agency rate by three to four times for equivalent quality. | If procurement requires a US contracting entity, contracting is more involved. |
| Freelance mobile developer | We bring engineering management, QA, and continuity. Freelancers go cheaper but you absorb the management overhead. | If you have one small feature to add and you already have a project manager, a freelancer can fit. |
| Other Indian engineering vendor | Verified portfolio, ISO 9001 certified, named clients. Many Indian vendors do mobile, fewer can show a portfolio with this breadth. | If your build is a generic CRUD app with no integrations, a generalist may quote lower. |
| Building in-house | Faster time to v1 and lower fixed cost than hiring a five-engineer mobile team. | If you already have a senior iOS or Android lead and want to staff around them, partnership may suit better than a full team. |
Shopping, marketplace, on-demand service, social, content, fitness, fintech consumer apps. Apps where the user is the buyer and the app is the product.
Mobile companions to web SaaS products. Push notifications, mobile-optimised workflows, offline support, account-aware deep links from email.
Field service, retail floor, warehouse, healthcare worker apps. Offline tolerance, BLE and scanner integration, role-based access, audit trails.

I looked around at several developers to compare costs, but they didnβt fit within my budget. Finally, I reached out to a company in India called ScalaCode. We set up several online meetings over a couple of weeks and came up with an app that did exactly what I wanted within my budget. I can confidently say that ScalaCode has been an excellent choice for me.
In this heartfelt testimonial, James Ellis, the founder of TipStars, shares his transformative experience working with ScalaCode. ScalaCode provides great results, uplifting the collaborative experience with their impressive project management style. The team always delivers as expected, which is manifested by the length of the ongoing relationship with us. Overall, their services have been impressive.
I have been working with ScalaCode for almost a year and half now. I have this project 4Sale, itβs a marketplace application. I contacted them for the project and we started around 2021. The company is very responsive and always take the extra mile to help you out. I highly recommend them; if you have a project, contact this company. They always respond on time even though thereβs a time difference.
The application was basically built from scratch, and was complicated, as the software was to be integrated with a certain Medical EHR software. As the CEO of SHG, I was very pleased with the services, expertise, and support we received from ScalaCode, from the beginning directly through the first LIVE implementation.
The iOS and Android apps exceeded the expectations of the internal team. ScalaCode crafts high-quality products that are easy to use and fit the requirements of the client. The team is technically experienced, hard-working, and knowledgeable.
I needed a reliable team on-hand, and ScalaCode delivered. Their excellent availability and project oversight made a big impact.
Our XR project had unique hurdles, but ScalaCode grasped it fast and delivered beyond expectations with excellent collaboration.
Native is the right call when the app needs heavy platform-specific behaviour, gaming, advanced camera, deep background processing, or platform-specific UX. Cross-platform is the right call for content-heavy apps, marketplace, fintech, and B2B SaaS companions. Cross-platform typically saves thirty to fifty percent over native iOS plus Android for equivalent scope.
Tier 1 simple app: eight to fourteen weeks. Tier 2 mid-complexity: fourteen to twenty-six weeks. Tier 3 enterprise-grade: twenty-six to fifty-two weeks. Production hardening and post-launch iteration add roughly twenty-five to forty percent more time.
India delivery: $25K to $500K depending on tier. Cross-platform typically thirty to fifty percent less than native iOS plus Android for equivalent scope. Hourly rates $13 to $25 by seniority. Monthly dedicated team $1,200 to $4,000 per engineer.
Yes. We handle App Store Connect and Google Play Console submission, store listings, screenshots, review responses, and post-launch updates. App Store first-submission acceptance is ninety percent for us when the guidelines have been built into the project from week one.
Yes, with a technical due diligence phase first. We audit the codebase, document state, identify risks, and propose a steady-state engagement. Most takeovers start with a four-week stabilisation sprint before steady-state maintenance begins.
You do. IP assignment is in the master service agreement. App Store and Google Play accounts are under your ownership; we publish from your developer account, not ours.
We audit the backend during discovery. Many web APIs are not mobile-ready because of pagination shape, payload size, or auth refresh behaviour. We can rebuild the affected endpoints or add a mobile-optimised API layer. We surface this in discovery so it does not blow up the build mid-sprint.
Usually within days. We agree on the scope, you interview and approve the engineers we propose, and they join your tools. The team comes from our existing vetted bench. Discovery to first shipped sprint typically runs three to five weeks for a clean start.
Tell us where you are. A consumer app v1 that needs to launch on a tight timeline. An enterprise mobile platform that needs to integrate with legacy systems. A cross-platform decision you want a second opinion on. A live app you want maintained by a team that takes ownership rather than just billing hours. We will respond with a scope envelope, a proposed team, and a written cost range within two business days.
