Gentle Giant puts on an amazing live concert experience. The band plays with energy that is unmatched by most other bands. Their songs range from progressive rock, jazz fusion, folk, synthesizer based pop to good old fashion rock and roll. You never know what type of song Gentle Giant will play next and that's part of the fun.

The musicianship from each member of the band is incredible and impressive. The guitars are crisp and clean. The drums range from fast rock to more mellow beats. The keyboards/organs are also in a class of there own. The singer Derek Shulman's voice is powerful and as diverse and the instruments. Not only is he a great singer but he has a way of controlling the crowd that is up there with the greats like, Freddie Mercury, Steven Tyler and Mick Jagger. The way he moves the audience is every bit as original as the sound that the band has developed.

It's not all guitars and drums though. Gentle Giant is incredibly diverse. Some songs contain many unexpected elements like Saxophone, trumpet, violin, mandolin, cello and even xylophone. With such a diverse sound it's hard to imagine anyone in the crowd becoming bored. The fans are on their feet from the first song to the last.
