Transfer Correspondent
I am a transfer correspondent for TEAMtalk, using my contacts to provide information on deals being worked on by football clubs around the world.
I have been a full-time football reporter since the early 2000s, covering level of the game up to the Premier League, Champions League and England internationals.
And my experience allows me to uncover the truths behind some of the games hottest rumours and to reveal details around transfers that may – or may not – happen in the future.
I began my career in sports journalism while still at school, covering an FA Cup first-round tie between Basingstoke and Bournemouth. Since then, I’ve seen the media landscape evolve dramatically.
After spells with Hayters and Wardles agencies writing for every national newspaper, I spent several years with the Sunday People and Sunday Mirror before moving into the digital space.
A memorable stint at Bleacher Report further shaped my career, and I have since worked across a variety of freelance roles — now enjoying my current position at TEAMtalk.
Transfers have become my niche, and I thrive on the buzz of uncovering early information on potential signings and targets just as much as I enjoy watching the action unfold on the pitch.
I also host my own podcast, Ranks FC. While away from work, you’ll usually find me watching Fulham, playing football, or kicking a ball around with my kids.
