The situation on the frontline remains difficult, however, according to British intelligence assessments, it is currently the most favorable for Ukraine in the past ten months.

According to Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky said this while speaking with journalists.

"On Wednesday, I received a report from our intelligence along with an analysis from British intelligence. I was provided with MI6's assessment of the frontline situation, which states that the current situation is the best for Ukraine in the past ten months. This is their conclusion, and all our partners see it. Given both the occupation and de-occupation of our territories, we are now slightly in the positive – we have liberated around 20 square kilometers. Overall, the frontline is holding. Therefore, the British intelligence conclusion is that the situation is difficult, but the best in the past ten months. This is a fair assessment. I am grateful to all our units that are ensuring this," Zelensky said in response to a question from an Ukrinform correspondent.

He also noted that he regularly receives reports from the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Recently, the enemy has intensified assault operations, taking advantage of foggy conditions. He explained that the Russians understand that there will be more daylight and sunshine, which reduces their ability to move undetected, so during fog they attempt to infiltrate in groups.

According to Zelensky, Ukrainian forces have recorded a buildup of enemy forces in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors.

"The offensive they had planned for March was disrupted by our Armed Forces. Therefore, the Russians will now simply intensify their assault actions. For now, we do not see any global threat," he added.

Between January 1 and March 26 this year, Russian forces lost 89,000 troops killed and seriously wounded on the battlefield.
