⇱ Russian strike on Zhytomyr region leaves one killed, injury toll rises to 10

In the Zhytomyr region, one person was killed while the number of injured has risen to ten as a result of a Russian missile and drone strike.

This was reported on Facebook by the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service (SES) in the region, as cited by Ukrinform.

“Due to the Russian attack on a residential area, one person was killed and 10 others were injured; two of them were extricated from under the rubble by emergency responders,” the statement said.

According to preliminary information, 18 buildings were destroyed, including nine residential houses. In addition, more than 100 residential buildings, 55 outbuildings, and two shops were damaged.

Rescuers have extinguished the fire. Search and recovery operations, as well as emergency restoration work, are currently ongoing.

As reported by Ukrinform, earlier it was known that one person had been killed and seven injured in the Zhytomyr region as a result of the Russian missile and drone strike.
