I'm not sure about you, but personally, I love a gaming laptop. There's just something about companies packing powerful hardware into a thin but durable shell that turns them into a real marvel of engineering. Plus, laptops are a lot easier to carry around, which is always a bonus.
With that in mind, when I learned that Dell was revealing a range of powerful gaming laptops, I knew I had to check it out. As it turns out, the company has a few models it's showing off at CES 2026.

Dell reveals more about the Alienware 16X Aurora and the Area-51 laptop
They should arrive soon
In a press release, Dell took some time to show off its newest laptops: the Alienware 16X Aurora and the Area-51. The highlight feature for both laptops is the OLED screens they both sport, which Dell claims is the first time they've added them to their Alienware gaming laptops. The company takes some time to explain why they're so great:
- 0.2ms Response Time that’s 15x faster than previous LCD technology (3ms) to ensure smooth gameplay.
- HDR True Black 500 for deep, rich blacks.
- 620 nits Peak HDR Brightness makes every cutscene feel like you're in it.
- 120% DCI-P3 Color Volume delivers vibrant, true-to-life visuals.
- VESA HDR ClearMR 9000 Certified virtually eliminates ghosting during high-speed scenes.
Fortunately, neither of these laptops is slacking in the hardware department. Both sport the newest Intel Core Ultra 200HX processor, which should be enough to keep up with your games. In the GPU department, the 16X Aurora sports up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070, while the Area-51 laptop can go all the way up to the mighty 5090. Plus, the Area-51 model has both 16 and 18-inch variants you can pick from.
Dell didn't reveal much about the release of either of these laptops. All we know is that they're both scheduled for a Q1 2026 release, with the price points unknown for now. However, it shouldn't be too long until Dell reveals more information about both of these models.
