Chapter 13: From Beyond in Doom: The Dark Ages puts the Slayer back atop Serrat, his trusty dragon mount. The Sentinel command station is under attack and the Slayer must fight back the demonic forces that have mounted the attack. Once again, the beauty of the level as the dragon soars through the battlefield is impossibly impressive, thanks to the brilliance of the id Tech engine 8 in this level. Sure, path tracing is still pending for the game, but it remains a visual delight regardless.

In order to get 100% completion, make sure you complete the mission challenges for this level.

Chapter 13’s mission challenges are-

• Performing a perfect dodge on the dragon 5 times
• Chasing and destroying 2 Hell Fighter ships

Something huge this way comes

Chapter 13 sees the Slayer take his dragon into battle as something huge attacks the Sentinel station in Argent D’Nur. Following the objectives in the chapter along with the instructions provided below, it won't be long before you can claim that sweet 100% completion tag for the thirteenth level in Doom: The Dark Ages.

This guide covers each collectible required for 100% level completion in chronological order. It is recommended to follow this guide in the order stated.

1. Hell Carrier ships 1 and 2, and the first Tentacle weak spot

Chapter 13 is remarkably reminiscent of chapter 5

As soon as the level opens up, you’ll see huge tentacles appearing from a portal above, destroying Sentinel structures. Without moving, you’ll see the first Hell Carrier ship ahead.

Engage it in combat, dodge its curved attacks by dodging in the opposite direction of the attack’s energy waves. You’ll see it falling onto a big red demonic seal below and destroying it.

With the first ship itself, you can finish up the Deft Dragon mission challenge. Just hit 5 perfect dodges before you start the attack and bring down the big ship.

Next, start flying around the central structure from the right, in the direction shown above.

You’ll reach a health ring and another Hell Carrier ship ahead. Bring it down as well.

Right behind the ship, you should see a huge tentacle wrapped around a structure. Engage it in combat, dodge its attacks, and you’ll take down the first tentacle weak spot, furthering the objective.

2. Hell Fighters and Demonic Essence

Pursue and destroy the nimble fighter ships for 100% completion

Head back to the start of the level where you brought down the first Hell Carrier.

Fly downwards into the lower level that the first Hell Carrier unlocked.

As soon as you fly down, you’ll meet two Hell Fighter ships. Chase them down and destroy them to complete the Veteran Pursuer mission challenge.

Avoid the spike traps ahead, and you’ll eventually fly out through the loop to the second tentacle weak spot.

After taking out the second tentacle weak spot, you’ll fly out, entering a chase with another couple of Hell Fighters. Chase them down if you haven’t already finished the mission challenge, but if you have… take them down anyway. They’re demons.

Then, from where you brought down the second Hell Carrier, fly up towards the structure shown above to make your first landing.

There’s a demonic portal here, but you’ll have to fight through dozens of demons to close it, while gaining a Demonic Essence for Ammo in the process.

3. More Hell Fighters and the final Demonic Essence

Now these Tentacles and Hell Fighters are just nuisances

From the first Demonic Essence arena, Shield Charge your way towards the objective, and you’ll get back on your mount. The moment you do, you’ll run into one more Hell Fighter ship to bring down. This one will lead you to the third and final tentacle weak spot. Combat the tentacle and destroy it.

As soon as you destroy the third tentacle is down, another Hell Fighter will arrive, and chasing it will lead you into a teleporter.

This Hell Fighter ship leads you upward, towards the second landing zone, right near the top-most demonic portal from where the huge tentacle monster is attacking.

Land here and work through the demons to take down the Leader Revenant, gaining an armor Demonic Essence in the process.

Once that’s complete, Chapter 13 of Doom: The Dark Ages will be complete, and you’ll finally have the 100% completion achievement for this level.
