Downdetector reports are continuing to increase

Down Detector is an incredibly useful website where people can report issues and check if others are experiencing problems with the same service in real time. I checked Claude's page on Down Detector just 10 minutes ago when I got the very same "This isn't working right now" error while trying to send a message, and there were only 150 reports of the tool not working.

That number has now jumped to 5,318 reports, and the spike continues to grow with every refresh. People are also rushing to social media to inform others and share their experiences, with many expressing frustration over the repeated outages.

Anthropic has updated its status page to include an "Elevated Errors on claude.ai" warning, noting that its team is actively investigating the issue. The company hasn't shared an estimated time for a fix or any additional details yet, but we'll keep you updated as soon as new information becomes available.

While March 2026 has been an incredibly successful month for Anthropic in terms of feature launches and popularity, it's also been a rough month for the tool, with multiple outages and service interruptions that have frustrated users. Anthropic's uptime status log shows that Claude has had eight major service disruptions this month.
