If you're in the mood for something a little more challenging than the average game, you can't go wrong with Dark Souls. The series helped define an entire genre of games that continues to see titles to this day. And while it wasn't technically the first ever game of its kind (looking at you, Demon's Souls), it definitely helped catapult the genre to where it is today.
Fortunately, if you've always wanted to get into Dark Souls but you didn't want to spend too much money, Steam has an excellent sale on right now. You can grab any Dark Souls game, including its DLC, for 50% off right now. And while they're on sale for quite a while, it's still worth snapping them up early in case you forget.

Every Dark Souls game is on sale for 50% off on Steam until May 15th
You can check out the sale over on the Dark Souls Franchise Sale page on Steam. While the sale is on, every game in the series, along with its DLC, is available at a pretty generous 50% off. While this isn't the steepest discount some of the games have ever gone on sale for (Dark Souls 3 went all the way down to 83% off in April 2020, for instance), it seems that they no longer go below the 50% mark, so now is a good a time as any to pick them up.
Even if you own every Dark SOuls game, you may not have the DLC for them. Fortunately, each individual DLC is also half off, so you can round off your collection. And, of course, if you decide to get the base game and the DLC all at once, it'll come in at 50% off. Basically, as long as there are titles missing in your Dark Souls collection, you can score something for cheap at least.
If you've never dipped a toe into the Dark Souls series, we have a lot of nice things to say about it here at XDA. For example, Samarveer Singh said it was one of the games they regret not playing sooner, and crowned it one of their greatest gaming trilogies they won't ever forget. And if you need some help, our good friends over at our sister site TheGamer recently toiled away at creating a list of the 10 best Dark Souls 3 PVE builds, ranked.
