You might not have a gaming computer or laptop with a powerful graphics card inside, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy some fantastic games. Integrated graphics are pretty good these days, they are able to play a wide variety of games with decent frame rates.
Even better, there are a ton of free-to-play games that you can download and play without forking over a cent, and many of them run just fine on integrated graphics. This, if you think about it, makes perfect sense because PC gaming handhelds and gaming consoles all run on iGPUs. In no particular order, here are some of our favorite free games that run on integrated graphics. Happy gaming!
While every game on this list will be happy at lower settings on an iGPU, owners of more capable APUs like the AMD Ryzen 8700G will be able to crank up the settings and resolution.

11 Hearthstone
Digital trading card games only require one resourceβall of your time
π hearthstone-battleground-duos-gameplay-2.jpg
Hearthstone has been around for over a decade now, and it wasn't the most resource-intensive game when it first came out. It'll run smoothly on almost any integrated graphics chip, and there is a ton of content waiting to be explored. The base game is free-to-play, and you can earn cards through gameplay, so you're not missing out on much if you don't want to pour money into buying extra cards.

10 League of Legends
MOBAs provide hours of fun with very little power required
If you like MOBAs, you've probably already heard of and spent time playing League of Legends. It's one of the most popular games worldwide, with over a hundred million active monthly players, and has no sight of slowing down. The 5v5 battles are top-down with specific roles and objectives, so you might want to find a mentor to show you the ropes. As you get deeper into it, a huge range of champions opens up to choose from, with a selection of around 30 that you can choose from the start.

9 Rocket League
Fast-paced soccer with cars instead of people never felt better
A few games on this list are personal favorites of mine, and Rocket League is one of them. It's hard to put into words just how much fun the frantic feeling of this fantastic title is. The main game mode is a fast-paced 3v3 soccer game, but as a twist, your players are all rocket-boosted cars, trucks, and vans. Score goals, guard your own net, and blow up other cars by ramming into them at speed, all while unlocking cosmetics and new vehicles. It's a blast.

8 The SIMS 4
Create your own reality without spending a cent
If you're a SIMS fan already, you know how much financial investment it took for earlier titles with their never-ending DLC packs. Well, with The Sims 4, it's now free to play on Steam, so you can play at something between an omnipotent being and an interior decorator at the same time. The base game has tons of content to explore, or you can buy DLC to expand your domain if you prefer.

7 Warframe
Space. Ninjas. (that are also robots, because of course they are)
One of the best long-running online MMOs is Warframe, where you take control of a fast, sword-wielding space ninja inside a powerful biomechanical suit called a Warframe. It's often been compared to the Destiny series because it has a similar mix of missions, story, and grinding for unlocks, but it's much more fast-paced and, more importantly, for iGPU usersβ will run on a potato. There is tons of content you can do for free, and by turning down a few in-game settings, it'll give you smooth framerates.

6 Fortnite
Battle it out in six of the seven game modes for free
The cultural phenomenon known as Fortnite isn't just about the battle royale mode, or the Save the World mode that's pay-to-play. It's now a sprawling hub for many other game types, with Lego Fortnite, Rocket Racing, Fortnite Festival, Fortnite Ballistic, and Fortnite Creative all ready for you to drop into for free. Whether you want to play multiplayer battle royale, several Lego-style game modes with less violence, or jump into the racing or rhythm games, you'll be able to find something to your liking.

5 Team Fortress 2
The original hero shooter is never going away
Love PvP hero shooters with a sense of humor? Before Overwatch and Marvel Rivals, there was Team Fortress 2, and it's a masterclass in teamplay. Pick the character that fits your personal playstyle and go to town in multiple game modes, from Capture the Flag to King of the Hill and more, all while collecting hats, weapons, and other cosmetics to make your character your own.

The original hero shooter is free and better than ever before.

4 Brawlhalla
Fast-paced fighting games are rarely free, but this one is
Brawlhalla has millions of active players, partly because of how fluid the frantic fighting game is. Play 1v1 for competitive or Free-For-All with four players all competing to knock the others out by bashing them into blastzones out off the screen. You're never quite down and out until then, and a big part of the fun is being able to recover from some truly heinous attacks.

3 Runescape
MMOs are even greater value when you're not paying for them
The gigantic world of Runescape has fairly low hardware requirements but a huge number of activities, quest lines, and more to occupy your time. With no real linear storyline to follow, your character is truly yours to command, and can level up in various ways to enable the role-playing experience you prefer. Want to trade instead of fight? You can do that, or you can train skills like mining or woodcutting to gather materials for progression. If the modern version is too much for your iGPU, you can try the Old School Runescape version, which drops the graphics back to the early days, without removing any of the fun.

2 Valorant
Added tactics make this 5v5 hero shooter well worth your time
There's a reason most of the games on this list are esports titles of one sort or another. That's how optimized they are for all hardware levels, and the 5v5 hero shooter of Valorant is no exception. Sure, with the settings cranked, it will make powerful rigs hurt, but on low settings, it'll give you smooth gameplay on any iGPU. It's part tactical shooter, part hero shooter, and part MOBA, with agents that have specific talents that you'll want to get used to if you want to climb the rankings.
